I was a classmate of Richard and remember being involved with politics at Stonehill. He was very instrumental in the Young Democrats Club. Whenever anything was happening, look for Richard as he was sure to be there.
Rest in peace Dick. You were a good guy and classmate. It was good that I was able to see you at the 50th reunion I enjoyed that.
Dick, a dear human being who never would hurt anyone. He only wanted to help, to enjoy, and to care for his friends and family. I am so thankful to have had a long phone conversation with Dick in June and to have spoken with him in October before his cruise. Count me among the many people who have lost a good friend and who will remember him fondly and miss him. Rest in peace.
Wise, smart and generous beyond words and a lifelong friend who was a champion for all the goodness that could be. Rest well.
Dick was a wonderful kind and gentle man as well as a good neighbor. He will be greatly missed.
Dick was one of God’s great men.He was tuned into all matters of the trail court;he knew everyone and everything. In his professional life and his personal life,he marshalled exceptional generosity, energy and intelligence. Judge Joseph Welch
I am honored to count myself among Dick’s many friends. I remember with special pride and thankfulness his faithful attendance to me during a difficult few months in 2005. He was both a good guy and a good man, two rare and separate beings. Thank you, Dick, for everything.
May God bless you my dear friend until we meet again.
From Stonehill to Dorchester to Manomet Dick Dwyer was (is) the politician, the Clerk Magistrate and my friend. He will be missed. Like so many others have said he was a unique man. I remember longuing in his hot tub in Manoment during a blizzard listening to the surf pounding against the rocks. He had a delight in his eyes that sparked my sense of sharing and place. I loved him; we loved him.
