A finer lady you will not find. I will always remember the times I visited “Aunt Gertrude” at Reedsdale road. Snow shoveling, floor scrubbing and tea served like royalty. My condolences to the entire surviving Magner family.
My deepest sympathy to the family. I met Gert at Mayflower r Nursing Home while my sister was there recovering back in the late 1990,s and we became very good friends. I just seen her at Christmas time 2012 and I enjoyed my visit with her. I will miss her very much and our visits at Newfield Nursing Home. May she rest in peace, I loved her.
To my beloved Aunt Gertrude,
You will be missed. She was in my opinion the matriarch of the Magner family. She is the last of her generation to leave us. She became more of a grandmother figure to me when we lost my Nanny and Pa years ago. I will miss you and fondly remember your love of neatness, music boxes, and the love you had for my Uncle Jackie and my Mother. No matter how far away the military carried us as children you always made every attempt to call frequently, send cards, and let my sisters know you loved us! I will miss you until we meet again .
Love, Colleen

I love you soo much!!! I LOVED your sense of humor, your intelligence, your charm and warmth. You were a class act. The cutest! Thank you for being a part of my life – from day one! Thank you for all you taught me and the stories you shared with me along the way. You were and always will be very special to me.
Love you! Melissa
Always vibrant and full of life, is how I remember Aunt Gertrude. Her quick quit and dry sense of humor were endearing to all who knew her. Although, I what I remember most is how she seemed to effortlessly carry herself with a graciousness and class of a bygone era. We will all miss you dearly.
Love, Michael
To the Magner Family,
I met Trudy nearly 30 years ago when I joined the Welfare Department. She was a great example of professionalism and poise which is not easily found today. My memories are of a warm, thoughtful and funny woman. May she rest in peace and may her family know that she touched the lives of many.
