Coach,
Thinking of you and your family. I am sorry I could not get up to the wake. Your mother and father were great supporters of BCHIGH football! We appreciated their support.

My deepest condolences to Bob, Keith, Sue, Roberta,Jon and all Mal’s grandchildren. It was an honor to know your Wife/ Mom/Nana/ ,Madeline she was one of a kind,we shared so many good times and laughs together. When we were introduced over forty years ago by her ‘kid’ sister and my fiancee Brenda, Mal looked me up and down a couple of times and then proclaimed well I think he’ll wear well’! I so looked forward to Thanksgivings and Christmas Eves with all of you. It was on one of these occasion that Brenda asked Madeline if she could bring anything for Thanksgiving dinner and your Mom replied ‘yes bring Fran’ !Then there was the time Mal told me she was getting me season tickets to Jon’s games for Xmas! When I lost an election it was your Mom who came to console me with a kind word and a hug. I can’t even express in words how much that meant to me.How she relished the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.Mal was always on a mission for her family, be it a shopping trip to Maine or the hunt for a beach house in Chatham it was always about family. The Red Cross has also lost one if most consistent donors and advocates. We have all lost so much with the passing of our Madeline but none more than BoBar her loving partner for so many years. It was always Bob and Madeline. It was in Braintree one day while Xmas shopping that I looked up to see Madeline her arms spread wide to embrace me, I will remember that moment for the rest of my life. Sometimes God just gives you a gift that doesn’t come in wrapping paper.A note to St. Peter you are getting a great lady. Pay no mind if she’hangs’ her coat up on the floor it’s her trademark! I love you Mal and I love the entire Bartlett family and I always will. Uncle, Fran
