Patrick J. O’Donnell, 88, of Quincy, died on  August 17, 2012. Born in Tiernee, Co Galway, Ireland on  March 26, 1924, the son of the late Michael and Mary (McDonough) O’Donnell. He immigrated to the United States in 1948 and married Bridget Mellett in 1952.  A resident of Quincy since 1981, Mr.O’Donnell was  employed by the MBTA and was a member of Boston Carmen’s Union #589. Survived by his beloved wife Bridget (Mellett) O’Donnell.  Loving father of Ann M. Scalia and her husband Natale of Milton and Patricia J. O’Donnell of Quincy.  Devoted grandfather of Mark Scalia and his wife Jennifer of Framingham, Christina Scalia and Michael Scalia both of Milton.  Brother of  Winifred Carr of  Hingham and predeceased by his siblings; Michael O’Donnell, Mary Kelley, James O’Donnell, John O’Donnell, Delia O’Toole, Colman O’Donnell and Margaret O’Donnell.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 22 at 10:30 AM in Saint Agatha Church, MILTON.  Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.  Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 PM in Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON.  Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree..  If desired memorial contributions in Patrick’s memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, .P.O.
