Ruthann Kelley-Russell

Ruthann Kelley-Russell, 68, died peacefully at home in Bridgewater, MA on July 1, 2012 with her family by her side. Ruthann was born in Boston, MA on November 2, 1943 to the late Walter E. Kelley and Dorothea (Jackman) Kelley.  Ruthann is survived by her husband of fifteen years Jeremiah V. Russell and also by her stepson Mark Russell  and his wife Jennifer L. Russell  and their children Jessica and Matthew and also survived by her cousins Gail (Farrell) Durgin and Helen Farrell and numerous other cousins. Ruthann is the sister in law of the late Robert J. and his wife Dolores E. Russell of Milford, Atty John J. Russell and his wife Marcia H. Robinson of Waltham, Francis E. Russell and his wife Maureen Gannon of Rochester, VT, James L. and his wife Carol Russell of Sarasota, FL, Thomas P. Russell and his wife Tin Xu of Amherst, and Mary C. Russell and her husband Steven Katsonis of Lakeland, FL.  Ruthann is a graduate of Boston State College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she was a Conant Fellow. She served the children of Boston for over 40 years, as a teacher at the middle and high school level and as an administrator with a career culminating as an Assistant Head Master at Boston Latin School.  She also worked for a number of years coordinating the Boston Latin School – Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Program. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Agatha’s Church,  432 Adams Street, Milton on Saturday, July 7 at 10:30 AM.  Relatives and friends invited. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., MILTON, Friday, July 6, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02283 for the detection and treatment of ovarian cancer and to the Boston Latin School Association, 101 Huntington Avenue, Suite 200, Boston, MA 02199 for the Cornelia A. Kelley Scholarship Fund.
