Doretha Humphries, a retired inspector for Gillette, died at Carney Hospital, suddenly Sunday May 27, 2012. She was 68 years old. Born in Sylvania, Georgia, she has been a Boston resident for many years. Beloved mother of Ronald K. Humphries. Funeral service at New Life Christian Church, 184 West Elm Street, Brockton, Saturday June 9 at 10:30 AM. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM at the church. Interment Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.

I thought about our friendshio and how much fun we would have and how we talked each and every night sometimes multiple times.
I just Thank the Lord that he chose my one true friend to be you a dimpled face southern girl like myself.
You were there when I was sick and today I have mustered all my strength to bid you farewell as you transition into Jesus’s arm because he knew how you labored on this earth.
Our friendship was close to fifty years and after all that time no offense to her sisters ………..but we are sisters true and true.
