John M. Cronin, of Brockton, at home surround by his family on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Beloved husband of Nidia B.(Gruni) Cronin. Loving father of Daniel J. Cronin and his wife Bridget of Brockton and Cristina M. Cronin and her fiancé Jason Allen. Brother of Mary E. Cronin of Dorchester, David J. Cronin of Tweksbury, Joseph Cronin of W. Roxbury, Ann T. Bennett of Dorchester , Thomas F. Cronin of Middleboro and the late James, Michael, Robert and Alice Cronin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank , Carol Cronin, Sarah Cronin, Timothy Murphy , Kathleen Bennett and Old Colony Hospice. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Friday, April 27 from 6-8 PM with a Memorial Service at 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Donations in John’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472. Late retired Chief Inspector, M.B.T.A. Veteran US Air Force, Vietnam.

My most sincerest condolences to all of John’s family at this time. I worked out of the Braintree Station and John was the Chief Inspector at this station. One of the nicest guys going. You always knew that when John was at the helm, things would go just fine. Once again, I offer my condolences and pray that his family will get through these most difficult days which lie ahead.
