Margaret A. (Finnerty), a retired clerk, died at John Scott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Braintree, Monday March 26, 2012. She was 92 years old. Born in Boston, she was raised in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School. She raised her children in Brookline and they moved to Milton in 1955. Mrs. Lawless worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Company for almost thirty years. An avid bowler with the Cunningham Park League, she also volunteered at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital with the parishioners of Saint Mary of the Hills Church. Former wife of the late Richard J. Lawless. Loving mother of Richard M. Lawless and his wife Nancy of Watermill, NY, Elizabeth M. Lawless of North Weymouth, Peter G. Lawless and his wife Patricia of South Weymouth and the late Christopher Lawless. Margaret is survived by her daughter-in-law Tracy Lawless, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Edna Kelleher, Mary Plunkett and Edward Finnerty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary of the Hills Church, St. Mary’s Road, Milton, Thursday March 29 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Wednesday 3-7 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
