Honora E. (O’Brien) Ostiguy

Honora  E. (O’Brien) Ostiguy, of Milton, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully November 3, 2011 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of William A. Ostiguy. Born and educated  in Boston she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Marsh) O’Brien. She was a long-time valued employee The Boston Company.  A member of the Castle Island Association and the Simon of Cyrne Society. She was the devoted mother of Beverly Curran and her husband Mark of Nashua, NH, Linda Upton and her husband Bill of Northwood, NH, Elaine Woodgate and her husband Brad of Duxbury, MA and Angela Scannell and her husband Paul of Milton.  She was also the beloved  mother of the late James M. Ostiguy, MD and his late wife, Elaine.  Sister of the late James O’Brien, Ruth Joyce, Frances O’Brien, Phylis Ostiguy, Annabelle Brown and sister-in-law of the recently deceased Joseph L. Ostiguy; loving and proud grandmother of Sadie and Michael Buonamano; Allison and Mark Steven Curran and Alicia Buonamano; Peter, Steven and Nathan Ostiguy; Amanda, Nicholas and Jillian Woodgate; Caroline, William and Katherine Scannell; and great-grandmother of Riley and Michael. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and cherished friends. Dolly exemplified all the best qualities of being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday from 1-5 p.m. in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave, Milton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 7 in St. Mary of the Hills Church,  Milton, at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simon of Cyrene Society, P.O. Box 54, S. Boston, MA 02127.
