This is really sad news, and I feel very bad. Brian was a father to me during many years of my life, and I feel now that I never gave back to him all that he gave to me. I remember he came to my father-son basketball games because my real dad lives across the country. And I remember going to Pizzeria Uno with him and my mom, and being there when he ran the marathon. He was always there for me, even though I wasn’t his son, which only as an adult do I realize isn’t an easy thing for a man to do.
I admired Brian and I still admire him today, and I’m greatly saddened by his passing. He was true-blue; even knowing him only in my younger years, I knew Brian as an honest, passionate, caring man who always put others before himself.
I will miss you Brian.
Susan, Bill and Family
