Mamie Elizabeth (Edwards) Farrow, of Roxbury, died on May 2, 2011 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in New Bern, North Carolina, Mamie moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she worked as a welder. She moved to Boston in 1960 and raised her family while working at Gillette Razor Co. Mamie loved to crochet and was active in her community, where she served as President of the Columbia Point Task Force.

Loving mother of Christine Edwards of Brooklyn, NY, Paul F. Edwards of Knightdale, NC, Joseph Farrow of Cary, NC, Stephen D. Farrow of Fall River, David Farrow of Roxbury, Michael Farrow of Fitchburg, MA, and the late Gail and Anthony Farrow. Mamie is survived by 14 grandchildren.

Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00AM on Monday, May 9 at Saint Mark Congregational Church, UCC, 200 Townsend St. (Humboldt Ave.) Dorchester with a Funeral Service to follow from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. A Reception will be held at the church at the conclusion of the services. The family respectfully requests that all refreshment and flowers go directly to the church.
