Susan (McFadden) McGregor
Susan (McFadden) McGregor, of West Quincy, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2011 at Milton Hospital. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Sue was a resident of Quincy for 57 years. Devoted wife of the late James McGregor, Sue was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a faithful, active member of St. Mary’s Parish in Quincy. Mrs. McGregor is survived by her sons John and his wife Linda McGregor of Milton, Frank and his wife Joan McGregor of Quincy and her daughters Catrina Keezer of Quincy and Cathy Thompson of Scotland as well as her son-in-law, Bob Keezer of Pembroke. Sue was a gracious and adoring Nana to Lori, Michael, Melisa, Douglas, Brian, Carolyn, Derek, Jillian, Andrew, Darlene, Dominic and Darrin. She was a doting and oh-so-proud great grandmother to Haley, Scarlet, Lily, Joseph and Nicole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent St., West Quincy, on Tuesday, March 15 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON, Monday 4:00-8:00PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Quincy. Mrs. McGregor taught school in Boston and was associated with the Quincy Lodge of Elks for over 50 years. She was a proud past president and 52 year member of the Quincy Emblem Club, past president of the Mass. State Association of Emblem Clubs and past president of St. Mary’s Guild. Mrs. McGregor was a woman of strong faith with a deep rooted belief and trust in God. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent St. West Quincy, MA 02169.

With the passing of Susie, the older generation is now gone. We now become the old folks and maybe we can leave a legacy as beautiful as Susie. She will be missed. I can still picture her carring. me up to the top of the Bunker Hill Monument. She will always be in our prayers. and thoughts.
