Alteus Denis, age 88 years, of Brockton, formerly of Boston, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of the late Marie Lucienne Denis. Mr. Denis was born in Monbin Crochu, Haiti, the son of the late Alfreus and Sinfora (Emmanuel) Denis. He is survived by his children, Jean-Robert Denis and his wife Deborah of Florida, Mirielle Sinous and her husband Kesnel of Florida, Hosner Denis and his wife Janet of Dorchester, Frantz Denis of Haiti, Harry Denis and his wife Marie L. of Brockton, Ronald Denis and his wife Nancy of Georgia; and also by 30 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; one sister, Alide Emmanuel of Cerca La Source, Haiti. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Angela Church, 1540 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan, Saturday, March 19, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., Dorchester Lower Mills, Friday 5-8 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Roslindale.
