I am so shocked and saddened at the loss of Dick. He was so dedicated at keeping us up and running. And the whole time maintained his basic kindness. A very good man. A very great loss. My heart goes out to his family and children.
Katie and Brendan… please know how much my heart is with you at this hard time. I never knew your father but indeed know the sadness you must feel. In days and years to come hold on and cherish those memories…they will get you through sometimes. Take good care of your mother as I know you will… I wish you love and strength during this difficult time.
To the O’Donnell Family,
I am very sorry for your sudden loss.
Dickie was a great guy who always was
smiling and laughing. He will be missed
by many especially the boys of the O.D.P.

To the O’Donnell Family.
I only knew Dickie a very short time, but found him a man of amazing depth, intelligence, integrity. Loyal and devoted to his wife first and foremost, and of course a proud father, he also adored his lifelong friends, considering them his brothers. One of the kindest men I’ve known in my lifetime. He and I enjoyed many a night playing one hit wonders from the seventies and I’ll always remember his satisfied smirk when he stumped me on an obscure song from the “lost 45s”. I remain in shock and can’t imagine the grief his loved ones are experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. He will be missed incredibly.

To the O’Donnell Family, but most especially Brendan —
I am so very sorry to hear of your father’s passing. It is terribly painful to lose a parent at any time — even more so when he and you are so young. From knowing you, Brendan, I know that he must have been wonderfully intelligent with a fabulous sense of humor, and very proud of his children. Those traits will live on in you and your sister. My heart goes out to both of you and to your mom.
