Sgt. Edward J. Ryan
Massachusetts Army National Guard, died Friday March 26, 2010, at his home in Salem. He was 50 years old.
Beloved son of the late Frederick J. and Janet (Firby) Ryan. Brother of Helen McQueen of Quincy, Shelia Cooper of Somerville, James Ryan of Worcester and the late John M. Ryan, Frederick W. Ryan Jr and Thomas M. Ryan. Dear friend of Dorothy and Neil Donovan, both of Salem. Ed is also survived by three nieces and two nephews.
Funeral service with military honors at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Tuesday at 3 PM. Visiting hours 1- 3 PM. Relatives and friends invited.

News of Edward’s passing came to me tonight at the Easter Vigil where I expected that fine gentleman to be baptized, confirmed and receive his first communion in the Catholic parish of Ste. Anne Church, Salem, MA. May the Lord take Edward into his arms where he belongs. His sincerity was clear as he made his way through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
