81, of Milton, died at Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Quincy on October 23, 3009.

Born in South Boston, Mr. Walsh graduated from South Boston High School. He entered the United States Army at the age of 18 and later graduated from Northeastern University.

Mr. Walsh began working for the accounting department at Gillette Safety Razor Corp. in 1946. He retired from Gillette in 1987 as the Assistant Director of International Finance.

He was a member of the Cunningham Couples Bowling League and enjoyed playing Ping Pong and softball, and dancing.

Mr. Walsh also was a member of the Board of Directors for the South Boston Community Health Center.

Beloved husband of Joan B. (Higgins) Walsh. Father of Brian P. Walsh and his wife Janice Pender of West Roxbury, Robert E. Walsh and his wife Kathleen of Milton and Susan D. Walsh of Texas. Brother of the late John J. Walsh. Grandfather of Sara and Conor Walsh. Private funeral services will be held.
