89, of Quincy, formerly of Mattapan died at Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on October 11, 2009.

Born and raised in Roxbury, Mary graduated from Girls High School. She worked as the Women’s Basketball Coach at Norfolk House in Roxbury.

A devoted mother and wife, Mary and her husband, Robert, raised their family in Mattapan. She moved to Holbrook after her husband’s death and later moved to Quincy in 2002.

Mary travelled to Hawaii several times and loved to sing.

Beloved wife of the late Robert J. MacDougall. Mother of Judith A. Presutti of Quincy, Jean M. McKinnon of Maui, HI, R. J. MacDougall of Boston, John P. MacDougall of Maui, HI, and Mary T. Riley of Pembroke. Sister of Lillian Norton and Ann Norton, both of Roslindale and the late John Norton. Mary is survived by 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, Dorchester on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home. 460 Granite Ave., MILTON on Wednesday 4–8 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
