Alice N. (Megarry) Lamb

85, of Raynham, formerly of Dorchester and Quincy, died at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston on September 7, 2009.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Mrs. Lamb worked as a Teacher’s Aide in the Boston Public School System.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Lamb, BPD. Mother of Edward J. Lamb and his wife Eleanor of VA, Kenneth A. Lamb, BPD, and his wife Veronica of No. Easton, June B. Morrissey and her husband William of Raynham, Brian A. Lamb and his wife Donna of Hanover, Nancy M. O’Brien and her husband Joseph of Braintree and Cindy A. Ahern and her husband Gerry of Rockland. Sister of Molly Rogers and Nan Nichol, both of Northern Ireland, Roy and George Megarry, both of Ontario, Canada and the late Margaret Hughes and Ena Megarry. Alice is survived by 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, Dorchester on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited.

Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St. DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Wednesday 4-8PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
