a retired secretary, died Friday July 17 at Weymouth Healthcare, after a long illness. She was 95 years old.

Born in Boston, she grew up in Dorchester and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. She worked at Stone and Webster Engineering in Boston for several years before moving to New York City. She worked for Chemical Construction Company for over twenty years, retiring in 1970.

Miss O’Meara was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral when she lived in New York.

Beloved daughter of the late Daniel L. and Grace (Gallagher) O’Meara. Sister of Stephen H. O’Meara of Dorchester and the late Grace Kelly, Daniel L. O’Meara Jr., John F. O’Meara, James a. O’Meara, Gerard M. O’Meara and Martha Horne. Aunt of Suzanne M. Johnson and Peter H. O’Meara and several other nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, Dorchester, Wednesday July 29 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hour at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Wednesday 9:30 -10:30 AM. Interment Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
