a retired chemist, died Monday July 6 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was 72 years old.

Born and raised in Boston, he was a longtime resident of Milton.

Beloved husband of Claire M. (Robertson) Kast. Loving father of Suzanne Ward of Florida, Linda Brousaides of Virginia, Guy Kast of Stoughton and Douglas Kast of Sharon. Brother of Alice Kast, Charles Kast, Ruth Blenkhorn, Maryann Chapman and the late Clifford Kast. Also survived by nine grandchildren.
