died at Milton Hospital Saturday, June 13. She was 97 years old.

Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, she was raised on Prince Edward Island and graduated from Prince of Wales College, P.E.I. She and her husband moved to Boston in 1952 and Milton in 1982.

Beloved wife of the late Francis P. Byrne. Loving mother of Milton Byrne of P.E.I., Maureen McDonnell of Milton, David Byrne of Stoneham, Richard Byrne of Walpole, Carol Bruno of Weymouth and Patricia Leavitt of Milton. Vera is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton, Tuesday June 16 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Monday 4-8 PM. Interment Milton Cemetery.
