a retired welder, died Saturday June 13 at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center. He was 77 years old.

Born and raised in Trinidad, he was a welder for Alcor, a maritime company, for many years.

Beloved husband of Thora H. (Raymond) Ferdinand. Loving father of Ava Pierre, Helen Lewis, Diane Ferdinand, Grace Ferdinand, Patricia Ferdinand, Andrea Henry and Daniel Ferdinand. Grandfather of fourteen and great-grandfather of seven. Brother of Vernon Edwards, Ivy Edwards, Rita Edwards, Joseph Edwards, Virgina Jackman and Anna Sullivan.

Funeral service at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 301 Washington Street, Dorchester, Friday June 19 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Thursday 5-9 PM. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Mattapan.
