Fabian “Doc” J. Lionetti of Milton, March 14, beloved husband of the late Kathryn (Grysko) Lionetti. Devoted father of Karen Lionetti of Mashpee and the late Fabian J.  Lionetti, Jr.  and Donald Lionetti.  Grandfather of Mark Lionetti of Boston.

Fabian held a PhD in physical chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Professor of Biochemistry at Boston University Medical School, distinguished researcher whose body of work contributed to advances at NASA, the Department of Energy, and in the field of blood preservation, author of numerous papers published in leading scientific journals, counselor and friend to his students, boatsman and birder, “wicked” fisherman, hometown sports fan, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle – in all these endeavors, he excelled. In loving memory of “Doc”. Farewell from the ones who love you.

Visitation in the Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave., MILTON VILLAGE, Tuesday, March 25 from 10 – 11 am. Interment at Milton Cemetery immediately following visitation.
