What a very special man Jack Dunn was. I have wonderful memories of such great times with the Dunn family, Jack was like an uncle to the Kelley family and how blessed we are to of had such a fun, caring man in our lives.
May The Road Rise Up To Meet You!

Jean
I will always have many memories of the generous, kind person that you were. I feel so blessed that you were my Godfather and that our families shared so many wonderful times together. Jack, you will be missed. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.
God Bless your family at this sad time.

God bless Jack. One of the great ones. I remember the nights we used to plow the neighborhood for no money but maybe a little libation. After a few hours we could hardly make it home but managed to thaw out with one or two Irish wiskeys. The fun with Jack was buying a car and negotiating with him.
Please dear Lord don’t ask him to plow heaven, it will cost you a pint.
Jack was a great and generous man and brought much joy and laughter to my family over the years! He was one of my dad’s best friends. My mom was pregnant with me and bedridden on doctors orders when Jack and Jean were married. The whole wedding party came to see my mom between the church and reception.
He gave me one of my first jobs keeping the cars that were for sale clean from dirt, dust and in the winter snow. One Saturday morning Jack pulled into the service area of Fore River Motors with a very expensive Ferrari. He parked in the middle of the garage and ran into his office. I was pulling a customer trade in, into the garage to wash it (maybe a little faster than I should have). Low and behold I pressed the brake pedal and nothing happened. Right in front of me was that Ferrari. I turned the wheel and smashed into a Mercury Marquis, the Marquis hit the parts truck and the parts truck hit the service counter. Jack and the other bosses all ran back into the garage and because I did not hit the Ferrari everything was fine.
We were not members of his family but we were certainly treated like one. Jack will be missed by many. His kindness to me and my family will be a bright spot on my heart for the rest of my life.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Dunn’s passing. I have such fond memories of him picking up all the kids in the neighborhood in his various cars and taking us all to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Those were fun days. He was such a generous, fun loving man who always had a smile. He helped make Edward Ave/Wyndmere Rd. a great place to grow up.
My condolences to his family, especially Andy, Julie, Matt and Elizabeth.
I am happy to say that Jack was a bright light in my life. His generosity and kindness will not soon be forgotten.
I marveled at how he helped others and opened his home and heart to so many. Feeling overwhelmed one day, I asked Jack, “how do you do it?” He said, “Kathy, my friend, too whom much is given, much is expected.” He felt he had many blessings and this was his way of giving back and giving thanks. Looking at life from this perspective changes everything. Today I count having known Jack as one of my precious blessings.
My prayers go out to his beautiful family. I know your hearts are heavy now, but may you find comfort in the memories and smile when you cry. God bless and keep you.
