Edward J. Curran, Sr.
Edward J. Curran, Sr., of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died on November 24, 2010 at South Shore Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Everett, Mr. Curran was a graduate of Somerville High School. He was a member of the US Army National Guard.
Mr. Curran was employed as an MBTA Bus Driver and retired after thirty years of service. He was a member of Local 589. Upon his retirement, Mr. Curran then joined Quirk Auto Parts in Braintree where he worked for nine years.
Beloved husband of Catherine (Donovan) Curran. Devoted father of Catherine C. Hayes of So. Weymouth, Edward J. Curran, Jr. of Washington, Robert S. Curran of Groton, Patricia A. DiNocco of Abington, Christine C. Curran-Cave and Timothy J. Curran, both of Quincy. Son of Ellen C. (Post) Curran of Somerville and the late Mark F. Curran. Brother of Ellen Galligani of Plymouth, Thomas Curran of Maine, Mark Curran of Florida and John Curran of Merrimac. Uncle of Paul Donovan of Quincy, Daniel Donovan of Milton and many other nephews and nieces. Grandfather of Catherine, Abigail, Jack, Riley, Ryan, Fergus, Madilyn, Meara, Maxson and Jillian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Ann Church, Wollaston, on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON, Monday 4-8PM. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery.
