Lorraine (Buckley) Duffy passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the age of 88.  She was a lifelong resident of Milton.

 

Mrs. Duffy, married for 52 years to the late Joseph (MFD), was the heart of a close family that includes:  three daughters, Colette and her husband Jack Dill of Springfield, Jacqueline DeFranco, and Anne and her husband Joe Renehan, of Milton; son, Joseph Duffy of Milton; and brother, Thomas Buckley of Abington. She was also an important influence in the lives of the younger generation that includes: grandchildren Elizabeth and Molly Dill, Jill, Joseph and Bridget Renehan, and Jessica, Abby, Christopher, Erin and great-granddaughter Mia Duffy; and nieces and nephews.

 

In earlier times, Lorraine was a Girl Scout leader and St. Agatha CYO adult advisor. Lorraine became a nurse at the age of 57 and practiced until the age of 72. She spent summers with family in Plymouth.

 

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ali Emami, the staff at Milton Hospital, family friend Dr. Steve Murphy of Andover, and all of our amazingly supportive family, friends and neighbors.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agatha’s Church, MILTON, Thursday,  April 30,  at 10:30 am.  Visiting Hours in the Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave., MILTON  VILLAGE, Weds.  4-8 pm. Interment Private.  In lieu of flowers donations in Loraine’s memory may be sent to the Milton Fireman’s Relief Fund, 515 Canton Ave., Milton, MA, 02186.
