Mary Katherine “Kay” Sullivan

Mary Katherine “Kay” Sullivan of Milton and Weymouth, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2014 at the age of 96. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles R. Sullivan and is survived by her children Kathy Nash and her husband Rick of Weymouth, Sally Carlson and her husband Larry of Milton and Chuck and Sharon Sullivan also of Milton.  Kay is also survived by her sister Loretta Correale of Florida and was predeceased by her brother Thomas Buckley of Rhode Island.  She was very dedicated to and proud to be a graduate and 1938 class president of Emmanuel College and later was a teacher for the Boston School System for more than 20 years. Every day was a wonderful day for Kay and those who were fortunate to spend time with her.  Kay and Charlie had wonderful times enjoying their many friends, having dinner and bowling at the Neighborhood Club or spending time traveling to the New Hampshire White Mountains.  Her real joy in her later years was being with her grandchildren, Kristen Hough and her husband Brian, Elizabeth Carlson, John Carlson and Gillian Sullivan and her four great grandchildren Tyler, Aidan, Collin, and Will Hough. On Monday, May 12th, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton at 10:30 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be at Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.
