Winifred C. Harraway of Milton, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully in her home on July 20, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Arthur W. Harraway.  Cherished and loving mother of Elizabeth Harraway. Winifred is also survived by her niece Karen Roby of West Warwick, RI, her nephews Charles Reid of Richboro, PA, Richard Reid of Billerica, John Reid of West Medford, Robert and Joseph Reid of Mansfield, Ronald Reid of Marlboro and several grand nieces and nephews. 

 After finishing high school, Winifred graduated from Boston Clerical School.  Winifred spent many years working for Veteran’s Services in Boston as well as a number of years working at the District 5 Office of the Boston School Department.  Winifred also spent a number of her “post retirement” years working for an Optometrist in Mattapan Square.  Many of Winifred’s happiest times were spent talking, laughing, and joking with her family.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 26, in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS at 11 o’clock. Visitation Friday from 9 to 11 A.M.  Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Winifred’s name to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451
