Mary Randazzo, age 96, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Milton, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, June 29, 2013, surrounded by family. She is survived by her loving sister Rose Virgona, her nephew John Virgona and his wife Debbie, and grand-nephews Christopher, Nicholas, and Michael. Daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie Randazzo. Sister of the late Joseph Randazzo.

Mary was literally born into being a Milton business women, ultimately running her parent’s Randazzo Fruit Market with her sister until 1958, a multifaceted business in the center of East Milton Square providing fresh produce, deli and groceries.  She graduated from Milton High School in 1935 and attended Lasalle College.  She received her Real Estate license which she maintained into her 70’s and ran what became Randazzo Family Properties.

She was an active member of Saint Agatha Parish, the Order Sons of Italy, the Circolo Italiano di Boston, the Orphans of Italy, and other clubs.  For many years she enjoyed being an incorporator for Milton Hospital.  She was a fan of the Arts, enjoying opera, ballet, classical music and visited museums wherever she could.

Later in life she traveled extensively and visited many parts of the world and often enjoyed time in Italy visiting relatives and the island Salina which was the birth place of her parents.  With her sister she enjoyed many cruises.   She began spending time in Florida during the winters in the late 60’s, ultimately living there full time several years ago, but her she always called Milton her home.  She always enjoyed keeping track of what was happening in the town.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton, Saturday July 6 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON, Friday 4-7 PM. Interment Milton Cemetery.
