Elaine M. Riley
Elaine M. Riley, a former pre-school teacher, died at her home in Canton, suddenly, Friday April 12, 2013. She was 65 years old. Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph P. and Sarah (Hagan) Riley. Elaine was raised in Quincy where she had lived for many years before moving to Norwood and then Canton. She was an active volunteer at Neponset River House in Norwood and The Salvation Army. Elaine was a great communicator, reaching out to people of all ages so that they knew someone cared about them. She was a great admirer of the Kennedy family and the Lennon Sisters. Elaine is survived by her close friend Victoria Shapiro, niece Ariel Joy Shapiro and many cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton, Wednesday April 17 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON, Wednesday 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in Elaine’s memory may be made to Neponset River House, 595 Pleasant Street, Norwood, MA 02062.

I am so sorry to hear of Elaine;s passing. She was a giving member of our weekly knitting group at the Senior Center in Canton. We all miss her smiling face and her warm personality. May you rest in peace, Elaine. You are already missed so much.
We had been away and just heard of Elaine’s passing….Elaine was a very special lady who spent many of her holidays and special occasions with my family…Elaine was loved dearly by my children..Trying to look for closure as we do not know what happened to her…May you rest in peace my dear friend you will be deeply missed….
