Fr. Brennan Connelly OFM

Fr. Brennan Connelly OFM, a resident of the Franciscan Friary in Ringwood, NJ, November 30, 2012. Fr. Connelly was born to Patrick and Mary (Meehan) Connelly and baptized Joseph Patrick at St. Catherine’s Church in Charlestown. He was raised in Brighton and attended Boston Latin School. Fr. Brennan was the brother of the late Robert Connelly of Milton and the late Catherine Bordman of Maplewood, NJ. He is survived by sisters Anne Patricia Stanton of Melrose and Mary Teresa Springer of West Orange, NJ as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the beloved nephew of John and Anne Leonora Smith of Malden. Following ordination, Fr. Brennan served in parishes and missions including St. Anthony Shrine in Boston, St. Joseph Seminary in Callicoon, NY, St. Leo Parish in Elmwood, NJ and Holy Cross Parish, Bronx, NY. Visiting hours in the First Floor Chapel at Saint Anthony Shrine, Wednesday 4:00 – 8:00 PM, with a Vigil Service at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated in Saint Anthony Shrine (Second Floor Chapel), 100 Arch Street, Boston, Thursday December 6 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
