Margaret “Peg” (McCabe) O’Neill
O’Neill – Margaret “Peg” (McCabe), Age 101 a lifelong resident of Milton, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Peg was the loving wife of the late James P. O’Neill of Milton. She is the cherished mother of Maura Overlan of Middletown, RI and mother-in-law of the late S. Francis Overlan, son Frank O’Neill and wife, Juanita of Milton, and son James, and wife Sandra of Weymouth. Nan was the devoted grandmother of Erin O’Neill of Somerville, Michael O’Neill of Newport, RI, Gregory O’Neill of Quincy and Courtney O’Neill of South Weymouth. She is survived by her sister, Hannah McCabe of Milton, her sister-in-law Lorraine McCabe of Brockton and predeceased by her sisters Ellen and Mary McCabe and brother William J. McCabe. She was a graduate of St. Gregory’s High School. She was a charter member of St. Elizabeth’s Parish and president of the Women’s Sodality and a member of the Milton Rotary Club. Peg was ageless and continued making friends her entire life as evidenced by her 100th birthday party celebrated with 100 of her closest friends and family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Road, Milton, Tuesday November 13 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours at Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE, Monday 4-7 PM. Interment Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
