Sean Folan
Sean Folan, of Randoph, died at home on August 15, 2012. He was 89 years old. Born and raised in Letermore, Co Galway, and then Co Meath, he moved to London, England, where he lived for 25 years before moving to Milton, MA in 1971. He was a retired carpenter of Local 67, enjoyed his family, bingo, lottery tickets and faithfully attended Mass at the Boston Pastoral Center and at St. Elizabeth’s Church, Milton. He was dedicated to his large family and maintained regular phone calls or visits with his family here in the US, Ireland and England. Devoted husband of the late Monica (McDonagh) Folan. Father of Philomena Hicks and her husband Michael of Pacifica, CA., Una Folan and her husband Michael of Concord, NH, John Folan and his wife MaryAnn of Milton, Carmel O’Leary and her husband Kevin of Norwell, MA and the late Marie Marshall. Devoted grandfather to Molly and Sean Hicks of Pacifica, CA, Aine and Martin Folan of Milton, MA and Adrienne, Brian and Clare O’Leary of Norwell, MA. He was the brother of Mark Folan of Dorchester, MA, Coleman Folan of Half Moon Bay, CA, Bartley Folan of Co Meath, Ireland, Nora McDonagh, Bridie McDonagh, Monica Moroney of Ireland, Barbara Glennon, Agnes Woodrow and Philomena Daly of London, England, predeceased by Patrick Folan, Una Calnan, Mary Mulkerrins and Nan Connolly. Uncle Sean is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 20 at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Church, Milton. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visitation, Sunday, 4-8 PM in Dolan-Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave. Milton. Interment Milton Cemetery.
