Gertrude E. (Hayes) McCabe, 76, formerly of Quincy, died Friday, July 13, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Paul McCabe, Sr. Loving mother of Paul McCabe, Jr. and his wife Marie of Mansfield, Robert McCabe and his wife Karen of Pembroke, Mark McCabe of Montpelier, VT, Nancy Gould and her husband Hal of Scituate and Karen McCabe Mastro and her husband David of Norfolk. Devoted grandmother of Christine, Jennifer, Kerry, Colin, Emily, Brendan, Darren, Molly, Owen and Olivia. Sister of the late: Thomas Hayes, Francis Hayes, Bernard Hayes and Marguerite Rathgeb. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 17 at 10:30 AM in Saint Agatha Church, Milton. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visitation Monday, 4-8 PM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.

Paul, Bobby, Mark, Nancy, Karen & rest of family, Aunt Gert will be missed very much. She was always so full of life and fun! I remember when your Mom & Dad were dating when I was a little kid playing ring around the rosie with her. She was always a joy to talk with. We will all miss her lots and lots!!! My deepest condolence to you all.
