Anna T. Cussen

Anna T. Cussen, a retired teacher, died at Hancock Park, Quincy, Thursday February 2, 2012. She was 95 years old. Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls and Teachers College, class of 1938. Miss Cussen taught at the University of Rhode Island, in Connecticut and Duxbury before returning to the City of Boston. She taught business classes at Jeremiah Burke and Dorchester High Schools. Miss Cussen was a longtime resident of Milton, where she was active at St. Mary of the Hills Church and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Reunion Committee of Teachers College. Beloved daughter of the late James E. and Elizabeth T. (O’Connell) Cussen. Sister of the late Mary G. Cussen, James e. Cussen, Joseph F. Cussen, Elizabeth K. Cussen, William A. Cussen, Margaret F. Dempsey and Vincent I. Cussen. Anna is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, Tuesday February 7 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friend invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Monday 4-7 PM. Interment New Calvary Cemetery.
