To his family: I am so sorry for the loss of you father, he was a wonderful man always concerned about everyone his memory was so sharp. I have had the pleasure meeting him when he came to our nursing & rehab. I am so glad that I was part of him celebrating his last birthday with him last week. I remember he would say to me carol no balloons, but I gave him a few, I walked in his room with them a big smile that made my day. He will be truly missed & be in my heart, R.I.P. Bob.
Uncle Bob,
I will miss you very much. We will keep you in our hearts and conversation forever. It was an honor being your nephew.
Love Greg, Pam, Ryan, and Kailin Devin…
To the family of Bob Devin I worked with Bob at the T for many years and I was saddened to hear of his passing. I am very sorry for your loss and you are all in my prayers.
For many years, Bob would call the newsroom and in his very unique style say, “All’s Quiet on the T !” Of course there were many times all was not quiet on the T and Bob would make sure the very latest information was available to the radio listener. He was an icon before the internet & Smart Phones…..he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Bob, thanks for the many lunchtime conversations at work. You will be missed. God Bless
I was saddened this morning to see notice of Mr. Devin passing posted at the Operations Headquarters of the MBTA. I was fortunate enough to talk with this ever elegant gentleman in the late 1980’s while I was in the Marketing and Ridership Dept of the T. Bob’s candor was refreshing and his humor timely and welcome. It was always a pleasure when he visited us ‘sweathogs” in the Customer Relations Unit (Complaint Line). He was a very strong, affirmative and postive presence who represented the MBTA well for an amazing 5 decades. “The T is running on or near schedule!” May he rest in peace.
