Donald Cox, of Braintree, formerly of Dorchester, Tuesday August 9, 2011. Beloved husband of Christine A. (McKiernan) Cox. Loving father of Ryan and Anna Cox of Braintree. Dear son of Daniel and Anne Cox of Dorchester. Son-in-law of John and Ann McKiernan of Milton. Nephew of Roseleen and Rita Cox, both of Quincy. Donald is also survived by three brothers-in-law and many loving friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Brendan’s Church, Gallivan Boulevard, Dorchester, Monday August 15 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Sunday 2-6 PM. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.

I lived next door to Donnie while he was growing up in the 1980’s and early 90’s. He was a devoted son, and I’m sure he was a wonderful husband and father. For Anne and Danny, I am so sorry for your loss. For Christine, Ryan and Anna, I’m sure you miss him terribly, and I hope there is comfort in knowing that his spirit is with you always. I am very sorry–this is a terrible and tragic loss. My thoughts are with all of you.
