To Helen and All the Gormleys: My thoughts are with you in this most difficult time. He was with your family for many years. He is with my dad now. Paul died exactly three months after my dad on the same day [Thursday]. They were such great buddies starting as toddlers on Minot Street and went through life following similar paths in the Navy and the telephone company and being a dedicated husband and dad. My mom and dad fixed them up on a blind date and they never looked back. My mom always felt it was love at first sight for Helen and Paul. Now he is with my dad and mom and many more friends and relatives in heaven!!!! R.I.P. See you Tuesday. Janet Burzyk
When I read the name Gormley in the Boston Paper…it brought back so many memories of my summers spent in Golden Grove with Blanche Gormley and my great -aunt Min Mc Ginley….I also worked for NET…and would see Paul on occasion….please pass this information to Catherine…who I also remember and have pictures of us when we lived on Minot St. My prayers to all Paul’s family…
Dear Ellen and family,
Words cannot express the sorrow of having a loved one pass on. Yet we know in our hearts they will always remain dear and true. May God’s hand guide you in your grief and heal your pain one day at a time. Our love and prayers are with you! Your father’s sweet spirit will live on in your memories and love. We feel so blessed to have met him and witness his dapper gentlemen ways. He was truly a delight to be around!

Helen and family,
I was saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. I have fond memories of all of you throughout my childhood. My Dad and Paul had a friendship that certainly withstood the test of time. Janet has told me much about what a devoted spouse you’ve been, Helen. I hope you find solace in that thought. This is such a difficult time. We can only hope that he is at peace. My thoughts are with you all.

Aunt Helen, Mary, Ellen, John, Anne and Paul: The St. John River was so beautiful this weekend. Uncle Paul loved it as much as anyone, and will always be in our fondest memories. At the Dever gatherings this weekend, the Gormleys were remembered during grace, and missed. Being by the river brings back so many memories. Swimming, fishing, boating, singing, dancing, wiffleball. When John G. arrived with Uncle Paul last year, I strolled over to greet them. Sitting on the porch, looking up river, Uncle Paul sipped a gin and tonic, smiling, and he told me I was going to love it here. How could you not?
Aunt Helen, you,and Paul are very dear to us. The best time of the year was getting ready for the summer and anticipating your arrival. When the Gorm’s arrived , summer had officially started. I loved the stories Paul would tell about his River and how this place is like Heaven. This has been a hard year for all of us and our thoughts and prayers are with you, Mary, John, Ellen, Anne and Paul. Peace be with you knowing Paul is in Heaven.
