Thomas J. Lombardi

Thomas J. Lombardi, a retired welder, died at John Adams Health Care Center, Quincy, Thursday June 23, 2011. He was 83 years old. Born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park, he graduated from Hyde Park High School and served in the United States Air Force for three years. After his honorable discharge, Tom enrolled in and graduated from The Boston Conservatory of Music. Mr. Lombardi taught welding at Boston Technical High School for many years and worked for City Welding. He was active at Kit Clark Senior Center and enjoyed painting and music. He was an outstanding pianist. Son of the late Joseph and Helena (Jones) Lombardi. Brother of Estelle Lombardi of Lexington and the late Paul Lombardi and Joseph and his wife Teresa Lombardi. Brother-in-law of Phyllis Lombardi of Glastonbury, CT. Uncle of Mary Lombardi Simms and her husband Michael, Brian Lombardi and his wife Marjorie, Thomas Lombardi and his wife Ann Marie, Paul Lombardi and his wife Ellen  and Philip Lombardi. Tom is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mark’s Church, 1725 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester, Monday June 27 at  11:00 AM. Visiting at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Monday 9:00-10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
