Over the years, I have grown to love Thyra as a sister and best friend. We have shared together so many memories and milestones. Her smile, laughter, advice, persistence and faith are some of the very things that come to mind when I think of her. I am honored to have known her and to have experienced with her what it means to “love life and to live life to its fullest”.
I am deeply sadden by her passing and this great lost for the family. However, it is comforting to know she’s in a better place. She’s in a place where pain is nonexistent and life begins with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Toya, you are one of a kind and you will never be forgotten….I love you….CNRT for life!
To the Lamour and Paul Families, with deepest sympathy for your loss. Michael Dennehy and the staff at Upward Bound at Boston University.
Toya, your presence will always be felt; and as per your request I will never stop praying, and I will always love you. The love you shared with everyone and always seen through you and “DR. Manny” gave new meaning to true love. Because of you many lives changed for better for ever… Love you, “aunty” Gertrude
Emmanual,
My Condolences to you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Toya and I never got the opportunity to meet in person. We became friends via Facebook because we had the same first name and coinsidentally her honeymoon was in my country of birth. She and I chatted on a number of occasions. I can say that she was a good soul, very nice and friendly, one of a kind.I pray for her family, despite the years I can’t imagine it being any less difficult for them. God bless her family.
