Loua Gordene Everett

Loua Gordene Everett, of Boston, January 25, 2011. A life-long resident of Boston, Gordene (or “Billie” to those who knew her in childhood) passed from this earth having completed her 88th year in November, 2010. In accordance with her wishes, her own ashes will be interred with the ashes of her beloved West Highland Terriers, “Dusty” and “Pip”, in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett with Gordene’s parents. Miss Everett earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University and a Masters Degree from New York University. After a few years as the assistant to a senior partner at a Boston law firm, she served for decades as an English teacher at North Quincy High School. In addition to her abiding interest in West Highland Terriers, Miss Everett was a loyal neighbor of the Ashmont Hill community in Dorchester, traveled extensively including several trips abroad, was a veteran mountain climber and hiker (AMC), as well as a loyal supporter of the Boston Symphony and Museum of Fine Arts. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at The Parish of All Saints, 209 Ashmont Street, Dorchester.
