Kensley L. Dimmott
Kensley L. Dimmott, a chef, died at Massachusetts General Hospital after a period of failing health, Sunday January 9, 2011. He was 63 years old. Born in Barbados, he served on the Cayman Islands Police Force for four years and returned to Barbados. Mr. Dimmott immigrated to Boston in the 1970’s and sought out classes to pursue his passion of cooking. He worked as sous chef and then executive chef at the Lenox, Colonnade, Park Plaza and Hilton Hotels. In 2005 he transitioned to The Massachusetts General Hospital cooking staff. Beloved father of Kensley L. Dimmott Jr., Kerwin Dimmott and Rohan Dimmott. Brother of Diana Dimmott of New York and MacDonald Dimmott of Barbados. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Saturday January 22, 12 Noon to 3 PM. Funeral service and interment Thursday January 27 in Saint James Cemetery, Barbados.

I am truly sadden by the death of my friend Kensley. We both served in the Cayman Islands Police Force. He was a very competitive cricketer. My condolences to the entire family. RIP my friend.
I am truly saddened by the death of a childhood friend who was very dear to me in my young years growing up in Sion Hill St. James. My prayers are with the family who mourns him.
