Carla J. (Larson) Histen, a homemaker, of East Sandwich, formerly of Quincy, died at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Saturday January 22, 2011.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Histen graduated from Dorchester High School in 1965. She enjoyed creating holiday crafts, gardening and was an avid reader. Mrs. Histen was a member of St. Mary’s Altar Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of Albert F. Histen, Jr. Loving mother of Albert F. Histen III and his wife Caroline of Quincy and Rebecca A. McGillivray and her husband Glenn of Quincy. Devoted grandmother of Emily, Erika, A.J. and Molly. Aunt of Peter J. Connolly of Quincy. Sister of the late Deborah L. Stack. Daughter of the late Donald W. and Dorothy Ann (Seelhorst) Larson.

Memorial Service at Saint Chrysostom Church, 1 Linden St., Quincy, MA 02170, Friday January 28 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
