in Squantum, May 8, 2010, beloved husband of the late Helen D. (Kelly) and loving father of Marianne C. and her husband William Sherman, Sheila Ahern of Squantum and John J. Jr. and his wife Nancy Ahern of Marshfield. Devoted grandfather of Timothy and Eileen Sherman and John and Kaitlin Ahern. Brother of Hannah Lustman of Chicago and the late Elizabeth Ridge and James Ahern. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, No. Quincy on Tuesday, May 11 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Veteran US Navy, WWII. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON Monday, 4-8PM. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.

Dear Sheila & John,
I just learned of your Dad’s passing and wanted to say how very sorry I am. Sheila, your care for both your parents and your aunt always amazed and inspired me.
