Muriel June Stanger

former resident of Jamaica Plain and Milton, MA, passed away February 28, 2010 in Boynton Beach Florida.  She was 81 years old. She was born October 29, 1928 in Jamaica Plain, MA to Leonora Leo Stanger and John Sophus Stanger.  Miss Stanger graduated from Jamaica Plain High School, and began her career in banking as a purchasing agent.  She later went to work for the City of Boston as Head Administrative Clerk for the Registry of Deeds, Suffolk County.  Retiring in 1993, Muriel moved to Boynton Beach, Florida where she made fast friends, but always missed her dear friends in the Boston area and her beloved Cape Cod. Muriel was pre-deceased by her beloved parents, and brother, John W. Stanger. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Valerie Stanger of Greenwich, CT and her niece, Pamela of New York, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, Monday, March 15th at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hour at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Monday 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Interment Milton Cemetery.
